OutSized supports stories, interactive works, media, reusable assets, collections, blog posts, and forum threads. Each has its own composer, but they share the same path from draft to published post.
Start a post
Open Create in your dashboard and choose a post type. Every post must follow the Content Guidelines. Formatting in written posts is covered in the Text Editor Guide, and the license field in Choosing a License.
Drafts, review, and publishing
- Draft: save a draft from the composer at any time. Drafts are not public and are listed in Drafts.
- Submitted for review: most post types go to staff review when you submit them. The composer shows the post as submitted until staff publish or return it.
- Published: the post is visible to other members. Your published work is listed in My Posts.
Forum threads skip staff review and publish directly. Published posts of every type remain subject to moderation.
Labels and tags
- Labels are curated site categories used for classification and filtering. Choose the labels that describe the post as a whole.
- Tags are terms you supply for details that do not need a dedicated label.
Do not repeat a label as a tag on the same post. Members use both to filter their feeds and searches, so accurate labels and tags help the right readers find your work and keep it out of feeds where it has been muted.
Collaboration
Supported post types can list multiple contributors and editors so credit appears on the post instead of in its description. Add collaborators from the contributor field in the composer. The role shown there decides what each person can change, and publishing controls vary by post type. Relicensing shared work is covered in Choosing a License.
