Reports send content that may break the Community Guidelines or Content Guidelines to the OutSized staff. This page explains how to file one and what happens afterward.
Report something
- Use the Report action on the specific post, profile, comment, or message. Reporting from the content itself gives staff a direct reference to it.
- Choose the reason that most accurately describes the problem.
- Add a short description with any context staff cannot see on the page, such as earlier interactions.
If the Report action is not available for what you need to report, use the policy route on Contact Support instead.
What happens next
Staff review each report in context against the site policies. A report does not guarantee removal, and staff decide the outcome; the possible enforcement actions are listed in the Community Guidelines. You receive a notification whenever your report's status changes.
- Open: the report is waiting for staff.
- In review: a staff member is looking into it.
- Resolved: staff have finished reviewing it.
- Retracted: the report was withdrawn.
Track your reports
Signed-in members can review every report they submitted, its current status, and staff replies from Privacy & Security > Reports. Add follow-up details to the existing report thread instead of opening a duplicate report about the same event.
Mute or block instead
If you simply do not want to see someone, mute or block them from their profile. You can review those choices in Muted & Blocked Users. Muting and blocking do not notify staff, so still report anything that breaks the rules.
